Six steps to register your homeschool.<\/p>\n\t
Attendance is compulsory (Florida Statutes<\/a>) for all children between the ages of six and sixteen. A child that turns six before February 1 of that term is required to attend school for the entirety of the term.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Florida has no set day or hour requirements for home instruction. However, if you are homeschooling under an umbrella program or with a private tutor you may be required to adhere to the typical 180-day school year.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t There are three options<\/strong>:<\/p>\n No. A Florida teaching license is not <\/em>required for parents UNLESS they are establishing a private tutoring program.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t No. Parents have the freedom to choose their child’s curriculum.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t No, except for option 1.
